Parks Tacoma helps build healthy families by providing a variety of great places to recreate, including parks, sports facilities, and community centers. Prop 1 provides the funding to support the places and spaces where people thrive through healthy activities like youth programs and senior services.

Increasing Park Safety

Public parks should be a safe space for all community members. We can improve the safety of Tacoma parks with better lighting, playground maintenance, and updated facilities.

Investing in our Environment

Funding our parks protects our environment. With support, we can reduce pollution and improve local water quality with better water management, trail maintenance, and green improvements throughout our system.

Public Parks Benefit Everyone

This measure invests in parks and community spaces in every Tacoma neighborhood. Prop 1 will ensure our parks system has the funding necessary to purchase land, preserve green space and make meaningful investments in neighborhood parks  - Moving us closer to ensuring that everyone in Tacoma lives within a 10-minute walk of a park.
